I have to confess, my favourite of her work so far is Checkpoint :
Evern has had a rough couple of days, with his ex-lover leaving him in a very public way, and now his piercings are setting off the metal detectors at the airport. In fact, he's set off so many bells and whistles that Officer Regan pulls him into a private room for a little inspection of what might trigger an alarm. Will Evern's day get worse, or will a steamy encounter make him feel better than he has in a long time?
GOD it was fun! *lol* And well written, it was a witty, sensual, satisfying read. Yes, I do hammer on about how I like wit in my fiction, it goes together like fish and chips to me *lol*.
Buy buy buy!
/end pimp *lol*.
Here's her site where she explains more about herself and the more speculative fiction she likes to write. And there's FREE fiction! (remember the post last week...?)
So today...? I'll leave it up to her words to draw you in...
The Kink that Dare not Speak Its Name
Recently Clare shared with me a story she wrote, which I hope she won't mind me talking about. It was called Six of the Best and it's
here.
Well-written, as well, I'm sure we've all come to expect, but also dark, provocative and hitting one of my hot buttons square on the head.
I'll admit, it's one of those hot spots I'm rather embarrassed to talk about. I'd never condone it in real life, but in fiction, it's just plain sexy. So many of my other, er, interests, can be included in a story of this kind: control, trust, fear, danger... cool metal on hot body parts.
Manna's Boy's Toys is another story featuring the same sexy subject
I don't want to confess to liking.
Just... yum.
So I keep telling myself I'm not the only one with a few fiction-fantasies that are better left unrevealed. What about you?
Do you have a fetish you like to find in stories that's too embarrassing--or freaky--to admit? Or do you wear it all where it can be seen, loud and proud?
Maybe you could sneakily 'fess up to it by sharing a few links? C'mon, you know you want to ;)
